About Waukesha Housing Authority

The Waukesha Housing Authority is a non-profit organization providing low-income housing. We offer a variety of resources.

- Saratoga Heights-A apartment building renting to elderly and handicap individuals.
- Scattered Sites Family Housing-Homes located throughout the City of Waukesha renting to families.
- Section 8 rental assistance-Homes scattered throughout the County of Waukesha renting to very low income families.
- Family-self sufficency-A program enabling families who receive rent assistance to become economically and socially independent.
- Mainstream Voucher Program-A program designed to provide long-term case management and Section 8 Rent assistance to disabled individuals.


The Housing Authorities of the City and County of Waukesha will be closing the waiting list for all rent assistance programs effective May 15, 2013, until further notice. These programs include, Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher, Public Housing all bedroom sizes, Saratoga Heights, and all other programs requiring a voucher.
